2nd Republic, Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, Traite du Directeur des Caisses centrales du Trésor Public, Service de l'Armée française, for the French expeditionary force in Mexico.
It is this French expedition, led by Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte (later Napoleon III), that will bring on the Mexican throne the Archduke Maximilian of Habsburg.
He will be overthrown and executed in June 1867 by the Mexican guerrilla led by Juarez, only 4 months after the departure of the last French ship.
